Harvested in Saharan Africa from December to June in order to respect the period of gummosis, by a system of "wounds", protruding in the trunk, a maximum of four so as not to weaken the acacia.
Each tree gives an average of 200 grams of resin but depending on the region it can reach 2000 grams.
This resin, mainly used in the food industry, is also used to stick or bind in a natural way, to starch textiles, and to fix drawings, such as pastels.
It is also found in cigarette rolling paper manufacturers such as OCB who uses it for the scrub of this one, these uses are multiple, varied in all fields.
Gum arabic is diluted in water, cold or hot.
